What is this website for?
HorseOptions.com is a website where sellers can post ads for horses or tack for sale, or a service they offer for potential buyers/customers.

How do I post an ad?
You'll need to Register first. Once that's done, you can then Post An Ad.

Why won't my photo(s) upload?
If you have problems uploading your photo(s) due to size requirements (maximum height and width: 1500x1500; maximum file size: 1024kb), most photo editing programs will give you an option to modify the photo file size. If you're unsure of how to do this, you can easily resize, crop, rotate or flip your photo(s) at Resize2Mail.com or feel free to email the photo(s) to HorseOptions.com.

How do I display my YouTube video?
First, you must choose a semi-featured or full-featured ad package. Then, find the field when posting/modifying your ad that says "YouTube Video (Use Video ID)". In that field, place the video ID from your YouTube ad. This ID is the alpha/numeric combination that shows up after the "v=" at the end of your YouTube URL. (i.e. The ID to use in the following URL is in bold: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRUcL03NINU.)

Is my registration information safe?
Yes. We will not give out your personal information to any individual or company under any circumstances.

How long do ads stay on this site?
We want to make sure all ads stay current on HorseOptions.com. Each ad will last 30 days, however the poster of each ad will have the option to renew for another 30 days if they so desire.

How do I know when my ad expires?
You will be sent a notice 4 days before your ad will expire. You will have the option to renew at that time.

How do I find what I'm looking for?
You have several options. If you'd like to see all the ads for any given category, just go to Browse ALL Ads and pick the category you're interested in. If you're looking for something more specific, go to Search Ads and enter in as much or as little of the search criteria for the category you're interested in.

What is a featured ad?
Featured Ads will appear at the top of each search should they fall within that search criteria. They can also be seen on the Featured Ads page.

What does bold and highlighted do for my ad?
These will draw extra attention to your ad and set it apart from your competition.

I want to place an ad, but I don't see an appropriate category for my ad. What should I put it under?
You can let us know the category you would like to put it under and we may create it for you. You can place your ad in the meantime under the next best category. Should we choose to create your requested category, we can move your ad to the new category.

It's not letting me post my ad under the category I chose. Why?
If a category has subcategories (i.e. Tack For Sale > Saddles), you will not be able to post an ad to the parent account (i.e. Tack For Sale). Please find the appropriate subcategory for your ad.

My ad isn't under the category where I placed it. What happened to it?
If we decide that the posted ad doesn't relate to the category, we reserve the right to move or remove the ad. If an ad contains offensive material or violates our Terms & Conditions, we reserve the right to investigate the IP address and identify the offender in order to take legal action. Ads that have been removed are not able to be restored.

Can I change a photo on my ad at a later date?
Yes. Simply go to where you modify your ad and click on "Modify Images" located underneath the current photo(s) and above the title of your ad.
